Many tourism sights are available in Mauritania including the two national parks (The Banc d’Arguin and Diawling) which are classified as world heritage sights by UNESCO.
The ancient cities of Tichitt, Ouadane, Chinguitty and Oualata which have old architectural buildings and libraries with rare manuscripts are places worth visiting.
In addition, Mauritania has vast untouched beaches stretching over 700 km on the Atlantic coast.
